Great win today for Anagennisis with Kyriakos Hatziaros scoring 3 of the four goals and Kostas Giorgiou the last goal.
We were without 4 players today as we had too many yellow cards last week.
We were ahead 1-0 by half time and our visitors from Paphos just did not seem to be able to connect.
With the very heavy rain, it was very difficult to keep the ball and stay upright on your feet and many palyers looked very dirty by the end.
Good work rate today especially by Christos Maouris and Kyriacos Krassas but Anagennisis could have easily scored 3 or 4 more goals.
It was noted that this game was without incident, no lost tempers or threats and no red/yellow cards with an assured performance by this weeks referee that spotted the odd dive and false claim for a foul and this performance made it a smoother match that was between the 22 men on the pitch and the officials hardly having to do to much thankfully.
Very good result for Derynia.

ENAD Polis Xrisoxous 1 - Anagennisis 1
What a really tough game for Anagennisis last Saturday. It was hard, physical and many of the decisions by the refereree did not help Anagennisis with their attempt to win this difficult match away in Paphos.
We were without 5 players either injured or with yellow cards and guess what - we got 5, no 6 more yellow cards on Saturday!
After a very dissapointing booking by the referee on Michael Roddy after a heavy tackle by Polis, we were awarded a penalty and it was left to Michael to shoot and get the first goal that put us in the lead 1-0.
Sadly later in the match we conceeded a goal but the lads worked so hard, under threat of many, many fouls awarded against them, to survive and ulitmately finish the game victorious as they won a great draw away from home under such pressure.
It was an especially proud moment when the final whistle went as over 80 supporters had driven the nearly 3 hour journey over to Polis, at the almost opposite tip of the Island to our village in Derynia.
Well done boys and now for a final win on Saturday and the confirmation of PROMOTION to division 2.

Anagennisis 1 - Adonis Idaliou 1
Great opening goal by Laios to make 1-0 but just before the end with 3 minutes to full time a nasty incident meant we had one player sent off and then both teams got a booking.
This left us with poor concentration and within 20 seconds of the restart a powerful long shot beat our defenders and our goalkeeper Christos.
It was a bitter final 5 minutes that cost us 2 points and leaves us short of 3 players for the next match due to too many yellow cards
So with only 5 more matches to go this season , we hope Anagennisis can get a good result away next week in Paphos to ensure promotion to the second division!

Anagennisis 2 - Kissos FC 1
Good result with several chances that might have given Anagennisis the lead before half time but instead it remained 0-0.
Twenty minutes after the second half a good goal by Ricardo Sanchez lifts the spirits and Anagennisis pile on the pressure and then score a second goal within just minutes by Georgiou.
Five minutes before the end, a mix up in defence let a soft goal through two players with Christos the goalkeeper stranded and unable to save it.
But Anagennisis had all the right tactics and passes on a a very bad football pitch which was so wet and muddy it stopped the ball many times for both teams.
Another important win for Adamos and the Anagennisis team that seem to playing so much better football with much smarter touches and less muscle making it a more exciting match to watch and seeing Anagennisis deserving their progress to get promotion uo to the second division!

Anagennisis 2 - Axyronas Liopetri 0
A local derby against struggling Liopetri proved much tougher than we imagined. Our opponent played hard and close and gave us not room to move or setup good chances on goal but toward the end of the 1st half we scored.
It started with an excellent long ball from Demos that Kostas Giorgiou controlled then passed one defended and scored and excellent goal with good timing that fooled the keeper.
In the second half we had a goal disallowed, a debateble offside when we had a really good cahnce to score but it was the no 19 substitute - Kyriakos Hatziaros
who came on and shorlty afterwards headed in a superb cross from Santchez that gave us the 2-0 win.
Not such a special performance as last week probably due to a difficult week of different training grounds, a stubborn defence of Liopetri and a very bumpy Derynia grass surface that made the smooth passing of balls a very bumby experience for Anagennisis players and urgent action really is needed to smooth out the playing surface.
Another good win to add to our chase for promotion
One player missing was the drummer from the young supporters as we realy need that rythmn to get more goals. Perhaps he will come next week when we need to beat Oriklini at home again!

Ethnikos Assias 0 - Anagennisis 2
An excellent win at the Makarios Stadium with probably the best technical play by Anagennisis in many months with all team members working very hard to create opportunities and go for victory.
Good goals by Emile Aikin in the opening minutes and in the second half from a huge attack with a chance hitting the post and ultimately dispatched by Lajos Terek making it 2-0 and a super victory away in Nicosia.
This result enforces the strength of Anagennisis and it chase for promotion to the 2nd division with them strongly in 3rd place behind Adonis and leaders Halkanoros who seem to be leading the division this year.

A good win with goals by Christos Karapashis in 10 minutes and then "Rickardo" Sanchez De Olivera making it 2-0 in the 38th minute.
This result brings Anagenisis into 3rd place behind Adonis and leaders Halkanoros.
Incidentally, Anagenisis are the 1st team to beat leaders Halkanoros this season - WELL DONE.

A good win despite having injury problems for Ricardo and Aikin.
Explosive start with 30 seconds we took the lead with an amazing goal from Kyriakos Hatziaros that left Polis in shock and the crowds screaming with excitement for MORE.
The second goal came from Solomos Solomou.
We could have scored another 6 or 7 goals and Polis were very lucky not to have been completely wiped out by the team effort.
Aitkin made a welcome return to the team as a substitute and added more pressure and power up front.
For Anagennisis, the new "CHOIR" of supporters including the drumming added a constant extra heartbeat to the game which left you in doubt that support is growing for the club!

The new grass on the pitch was very long and luck was just not with us during this match.
Seemed to have hit a rough patch but will pounce back soon. Good numbers of supporters came to Ahali to help the team.

Digenis Oraklinis 0 - Anagennisis 1
We won a very difficult game on Saturday played in the Stadium in Levadia.
Early on a very heavy foul by their number 7 which pushed our player Aiken
onto the ground in the penalty box.
Sanchez was chosen to take the penalty and drove the ball hard into the bottom right of the goal past the reach of their goalkeeper with great power and put Anagennisis ahead with the what became the only goal of the game.
There were some very unsporting gestures by our opponents and nearly everytime the flow of football started they invented a foul.
Aikin and Andreou had some good chances. Our opponents gave Aitkin little time or sporting chance to play some of his flowing football that creates goals.
Sadly the bad sporting play by our opponents brought some friction in the crowd and the Oroklini captain was booded and jeered for most of the match for some unsporting behaivour.
A good and well deserved result for Anagennisis where the score could have been 3 or 4 to zero and our goalkeeper was never really troubled with any serious chances.

Axyronas Liopetri 1 - Anagennisis 2
Anagennisis had a good result on Saturday in Liopetri with two fine goals from Emile Aikin.
There was a good crowd of Anagennisis suporters who shouted and clapped the great efforts of the team.
Spirits are now high in the team and we continue training this week with another match away next week.
Η Αναγέννηση είχε ένα καλό αποτέλεσμα το Σάββατο στο Λιοπέτρι με δύο ωραία γκολ από τον EmileAikin.
Υπήρξε ένα καλό πλήθος υποστηρικτών της Αναγέννησης που φώναξαν και χειροκρότησαν τις μεγάλες προσπάθειες της ομάδας.
Τα πνεύματα είναι πλέον υψηλά στην ομάδα και συνεχίζουμε την προπόνηση αυτή την εβδομάδα με άλλο ένα αγώνα εκτός έδρας την επόμενη εβδομάδα.

ΜΕΓΑΛΗ ΝΙΚΗ
Μεγάλη νίκη πέτυχε η Αναγέννηση σε βάρος του Αχυρώνα στην έδρα του με 2-1. Το πρώτο ημίχρονο δεν ήταν τόσο καλό από πλευράς θεάματος σε σχέση με το δεύτερο με λιγοστές φάσεις μπροστά από τις δύο εστίες.
Στο δεύτερο ημίχρονο όμως άλλαξαν άρδην τα δεδομένα του αγώνα. Με το καλημέρα του ο Λάγιος μόνος με τον τερματοφύλακα των γηπεδούχων δεν μπόρεσε να τον νικήσει όμως στην επαναφορά η μπάλα πήγε στον Αϊκεν ο οποίος με ψύχραιμο πλασέ έκανε το 1-0. Οι πανηγυρισμοί όμως δεν κράτησαν για πολύ αφού στο αμέσως επόμενο λεπτό ο Κυριάκου με κεφαλιά έκανε το 1-1. Η Δερύνεια όμως ήταν η ομάδα που είχε τις δυνάμεις και τα ψυχικά αποθέματα καταφέρνοντας έτσι στο 88’ και πάλι με τον Αϊκεν να πάρει τους τρεις πολύτιμους βαθμούς.

A great result with two goals by Aikin and Laios plus the most spectacular penalty save by Goalkeeper Christos Mastrou earnt Anagennisis 3 points in their 1st home game in a very full Dheryneia Stadium packed with many supporters and season ticket holders.
The score could have been 3-0 or more as we had many chances especially a fantastic attempt by Sanchez.
Μεγάλη νίκη πέτυχε η Αναγέννηση σε βάρος του Εθνικού Ασσιας με 2-0.
Η ομάδα της Δερύνειας εκμεταλλεύτηκε στο έπακρο την έδρα της και πήρε τους τρεις βαθμούς που θα την βοηθήσουν πολύ στη συνέχεια του πρωταθλήματος. Αφού απώλεσε δύο πολύ μεγάλες ευκαιρίες στο 20’ και 21’ η Δερύνεια κατάφερε στο 24’ να πάρει κεφάλι στο σκορ με σκόρερ τον Γεωργίου.
Στην επανάληψη και στο 53’ διπλασίασε τα τέρματά της με ψηλοκρεμαστό σουτ του Λάιος. Ο Εθνικός προσπάθησε να αντιδράσει, πίεσε, όμως δεν κατάφερε να πετύχει κάποιο γκολ. Στο 81’ οι φιλοξενούμενοι κέρδισαν πέναλτι όμως δεν το αξιοποίησε ο Φραγκέσκου και έτσι το 2-0 παρέμεινε μέχρι το τέλος.

Halkanoras 2 - Anagennisi 2
Anagennisis were very unlucky not to take all three points in the 1st match of the season with a fine 1st goal and the 2nd through a penalty but there were lots of other chances but luck just would not allow it to happen but still it was strong fight with great team spirit and a large following of fans travelling from Derynia.
Χαλκάνωρας 2 – ΑΝΑΓΕΝΝΗΣΗ 2
Η ομάδα μας εξήλθε ισόπαλη 2-2 με αντίπαλο τον Χαλκάνωρα, στο Δάλι, έχοντας προηγηθεί στο σκορ 2 φόρες με τέρματα του Χάτζιαρου με υποδειγματικό πλασέ και του Λάγιος με πέναλτι, μετά από ανατροπή που έγινε στο Σολωμού. Η ομάδα μας είχε τις ευκαιρίες για να πάρει τους 3 πόντους αλλά δύστυχος στάθηκε άτυχη αφού η μπάλα δεν της έκανε το χατίρι. Συγκινητική ήταν η παρουσία αρκετών φίλων της Αναγέννησης οι οποίοι ταξίδεψαν από την Δερύνεια και έδωσαν βροντερά το παρών τους.
