Anagennisis volleyball

VOLLEYBALL

Anagennisi has a long tradition in Volleyball and is considered as one of the historic teams in this sport.

The team became cup winner for 2 successive years, 1976 and 1977 and quite a few times as runner-up of the top division.

In 2002 we have played for the first time in a European Cup against Mariupol of Ukraine.

This year Anagennisi is playing in the 1st division after making the double last season in the 2nd division. Prime goal is to avoid relegation and stay for another consecutive year in the top division.

The team is managed by Nikos Lillis, a young and promising coach who is assisted by the experience player Costas Raptou.

There are also youth teams who participate in the youth leagues of the Federation also managed by Nikos Lillis.

The sponsors of the team are Dherynia Co-operative and Stekas Electrica, Findix, Zappion Palace and Tappolos Developers.l

	NEW - NEW - NEW - GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

	GIRLS U17 and U15 VOLLEYBALL TEAM

	There are not many opportunities for girls to join a team sport in Derynia. This is the reason we have created two volleyball girls teams in our club who now participate very successfully in the Cyprus leagues for girls under 17 and under 15. About 30 girls attend the training sessions under the supervision of coach Elena Frangeskou and the Head of the teams Christiana Colomvou. We will follow their progress and eventually as the girls grow and learn the secrets of the game we are planning to join the Cyprus Volley Womens’ League. The sponsors of both teams are Christiana & Angela Colombou KIOSK Ltd and Institute of Beauty & Spa Niki Lilli.
